Rudkin certainly finished strong………….close fight indeed between 2 great sportsmen.
This was a dreadful hometown decision. Rudkin clearly won. The australian judge , ray mitchel gave every round to hometown boy Rose. This was absurd. This fight was close but the Gods shone on Lionel Rose. All his world title fights were won by controversial split decisions. Rudkin should have been declared world champ this night.
Rest in peace Mr Rose~Lionel thanks for all those raspberry lemonades you made me and all the tales I heard as a little lady at the mernda hotel victoria thanks for the memories a true Aussie Legend .
